Real Science Behind It

Quantum Entanglement:

Real: Particles can be entangled so that measuring one affects the other instantly, no matter the distance.

Not real: You cannot transmit information through entanglement. Measuring one particle gives you a random result, not a message.

Proton Unfolding:

Real: String theory proposes that particles exist in more dimensions than we can perceive.

Not real: Actually unfolding a proton to macro scale and etching circuits on it — purely fictional.

High-Dimensional Communication:

Real: Some theoretical physics models (string theory, M-theory) include extra dimensions.

Not real: Using extra dimensions for faster-than-light communication — not supported by current physics.

What Liu Cixin Did

Liu Cixin took real scientific concepts and extended them to their logical extreme. This is what "hard sci-fi" does — it starts from reality, then pushes past it into imagination.

Why Fans Love the Sophon

The Sophon is terrifying not because it's impossible — but because it's almost plausible. The science is just barely believable enough to make you think: maybe this could happen.
