The Swordholder's Deterrence: During 54 years as Swordholder, Luo Ji endured global misunderstanding alone. He maintained the terrifying balance between two civilizations with a "hanging sword"—the threat to broadcast Trisolaris's coordinates.
Ultimate Cost: To verify the Dark Forest theory, he watched a star system be destroyed. To establish deterrence, he turned himself into a statue. Luo Ji's tragedy: he was the least suited to bear responsibility, yet bore the heaviest burden.
