Zhang Beihai: The Truest Wallfacer

English

Zhang Beihai was never officially appointed as a Wallfacer, yet he fulfilled every Wallfacer's mission through a lifetime of disguise. His strategic vision, absolute rationality, and ultimate loyalty to human civilization make him the most "awake" character in the trilogy.

The Art of Deception: Zhang Beihai spent two centuries hiding his true intentions. Whether through his "defeatist" remarks at space force meetings or his clever positioning in the Future Reinforcement Project, he was always playing the long game.

The Hijacking of Natural Selection: "Natural Selection, full speed ahead!" This was not just a ship command but Zhang Beihai's life motto. He hijacked Natural Selection not to escape, but to preserve the flame of human civilization.

Ultimate Significance: Zhang Beihai's sacrifice ensured humanity's survival in the universe. He proved that in extreme circumstances, reason outweighs emotion, survival prioritizes morality.
