🤔 Are the Trisolarans Actually the Good Guys?
When reading Three-Body, we default to the human perspective. But what if — the Trisolarans are the "good" side?
Theory 1: Survival Rights
The Trisolaran world is dying. Their star system is unstable, could collapse at any moment. They want Earth not for conquest — but to survive.
Morally, taking someone's home to save yourself — wrong.
By cosmic law — survival is the first need.
The Trisolarans follow the Dark Forest's two axioms. They just don't pretend otherwise.
Theory 2: Trisolaran "Honesty"
Trisolarans cannot lie. This means:
- They won't pretend to be peace envoys
- They won't break treaties
- All their actions are transparent
Compared to humans — who is more "moral"?
Theory 3: Humans Are the Invaders
From the Trisolaran perspective:
- A distant civilization received your coordinates
- They locked down your technology
- Then they sent out a fleet
You'd call it invasion.
But humans did the same — Luo Ji broadcast Trisolaran coordinates, condemning them to destruction.
Theory 4: Ye Wenjie's Choice
When Ye Wenjie sent her signal, the Trisolaran response was "Don't answer" — they were warning her. This suggests they didn't want to harm humanity, just protect themselves.
But she answered anyway.
Your Turn
Are the Trisolarans evil invaders, or survivors forced by cosmic law? The answer depends on whose sky you're looking up from.
