🎨 A New Chapter in the Visual Three-Body Universe

2025 marked the 10th anniversary of *The Three-Body Problem* winning the Hugo Award. Yilin Press partnered with Three-Body Universe to launch the graphic novel series. After the first volume's massive success, Volume 2: "The Dark Forest" will be released in 2026!

👨‍🎨 Master Artist Wu Qingsong

The graphic novel is drawn by Wu Qingsong, winner of China's Golden Dragon Award for animation. With decades of experience, Wu's creative philosophy is:

> "I must be faithful to Liu Cixin's original work while bringing my own understanding as a Three-Body fan"

For iconic scenes like "Three Suns Aligned," "Human Computer," and "Operation Guzhen," Wu takes an "obsessively detailed" restoration approach. For emotional passages like Yang Dong's death and the Red Coast story, he adds visual impact suited to the graphic novel medium.

🔬 The Hardest Battle: Storyboarding

Wu admits storyboarding is the toughest part — "Basic frameworks and coloring are muscle memory after decades, but transforming a story script into storyboards, conveying the shock of the original plot and the explosive emotions of characters in static images — that remains the hardest challenge."

🌍 Global Reach

Volume 1 has already been licensed in multiple countries. To date, *The Three-Body Problem* has been published in 38 languages across 30+ countries, won 9 major international sci-fi awards, and sold over 30 million copies worldwide.

> For all ages — Sci-fi author Wang Nonuo says: "The Three-Body Problem's accessibility means it doesn't reject any reader — regardless of age, gender, or class. Everyone can find their own philosophical meaning in it."

In 2026, let's step into the Dark Forest once again through Wu Qingsong's brush! 🌲
